Puerto Princesa Palawan and Loving Sabang Beach

We rave about the Underground River tours and the island hopping trip, but for me, the best part of our Puerto Princesa trip was Sabang Beach. Palawan boasts of many lovely beaches, including El Nido, which is some eight hours away by bus from Palawan’s capital city, Puerto Princesa. But if you want a fine-looking beach that’s only a few hours away from Puerto Princesa, then Sabang Beach is just perfect.

Daluyon Beach Resort, Sabang Beach, Puerto Princesa, Palawan Sabang Beach is absolutely in my list of the best beaches in the nearby areas of Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Tourists can reach it in around two hours if coming from Puerto Princesa City.

Expect nothing less than a picturesque bay, a long shore of fine white sand, pristine waters, and quiet breeze. Since Sabang Beach is near the famous Underground River, tour operators have made Daluyon Resort a stopover before the main event.

We stayed at Daluyon Beach and Mountain Resort for buffet lunch and some swimming before we took off for the Underground River tour. I loved the feel of the soft sand beneath my feet.

The water at Sabang Beach is very clear. Water is pretty safe for kids as it’s a long distance away before the water gets that deep. The Daluyon Resort is also not too crowded, so guests can expect to enjoy a relaxing stay there.

Food adventurers can try tamilok, a Palawan delicacy sold by vendors roaming around the beach area. Tamilok is a worm-like mollusk that lives inside a mangrove tree and tastes much like oyster. Tamilok has been made famous by television shows like Fear Factor and Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmen.
